NCC (Senior Wing)
3 Raj Battalion
The NCC (Senior Wing), 3 Raj Battalion of Leela Devi Parasmal Sancheti Kanya Mahavidyalaya is one of the most dynamic and disciplined units on campus, dedicated to fostering leadership, patriotism, and a spirit of national service among young women. Under the capable guidance of CTO Ms. Kailash Kunwar, the unit provides cadets with rigorous training, moral values, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
The NCC program at the college emphasizes physical fitness, discipline, and character-building. Cadets participate in regular drills, parade practices, weapon training (as permitted), and physical endurance activities that help them develop confidence, resilience, and teamwork. In addition to military training, the unit actively engages cadets in social service initiatives such as cleanliness drives, anti-drug campaigns, traffic awareness programs, tree plantation, and community outreach activities.
A major feature of the NCC experience is participation in various state and national-level camps. Cadets from the college enthusiastically attend Annual Training Camps (ATC), Combined Annual Training Camps (CATC), National Integration Camps (NIC), and other specialized camps. These camps provide exposure to diverse cultures, leadership tasks, and high-level training under expert officers. Outstanding cadets may also get the opportunity to represent the battalion in prestigious events such as the Republic Day Camp.
CTO Ms. Kailash Kunwar plays a pivotal role in guiding the cadets, ensuring discipline, and motivating them to excel in both training and academics. Through her mentorship, cadets develop a strong sense of responsibility, service, and national pride.
Overall, the NCC Senior Wing at Leela Devi Parasmal Sancheti Kanya Mahavidyalaya empowers young women to become confident, disciplined, and socially committed citizens, ready to contribute meaningfully to the nation.
